Aurik is an original character created for Legendary Guardian and has no basis in cannon from Square Soft in Final Fantasy X. He appears in only one chapter of LG but is often mentioned by other characters throughout the story line.

Aurik is Auron's father. He became aquainted with Youke, Auron's maternal uncle, when he attempted to lift the man's gil purse. For some reason, the young Youke decided to befriend Aurik instead of turning him over to the temple. The result was a fast friendship leading to Aurik's marriage to Youri and Auron's subsequent birth.

Various characters describe Aurik, and his personality, throughout the course of LG. At the time of Auron's birth, Aurik is 23. He has mid-lengh auburn hair with floppy bangs, playful blue eyes, tan skin, stands about 5 foot 10 inches, and was an unabashed rogue until Youke converted him to the Yevon faith. A thief by trade, Aurik was notorious to the Bevelle guard for his ability to steal without getting caught, romancing local women, and his knack for talking his way out of almost any situation. Falling in love with Youri, Aurik changed his ways and settled down to the life of a fisherman on the island of Kilika. He married and spirited Youri off from Bevelle to the quiet island. Youke visited as often as possible and it was there, on Kilika, that Auron was born.

Being an accomplished thief, Aurik is lightening fast and stealthy. His weapon of choice...knives of course!
