Dakat Ronso is an original character created for Legendary Guardian and has no basis in cannon from Square Soft in Final Fantasy X. He appears, or is mentioned in, several chapters of Legendary Guardian and Bonds of Love.

Like the Square characters Kimahri and Kelk, Dakat is of the Ronso race. These massive cat-like warriors come in various colors but are predominately blue. The Ronso have a magical ability called "Lancet" (also Square cannon) that allows them to absorb magical abilities from the fiends they fight.

Dakat is, in the context of LG, a Black Mage. This is in addition to his "Blue" magic abilities that he learns via "Lancet." He is very skilled at his art and teaches acolytes and dedicated at the Bevelle temple. Both Auron and Braska have him as an instructor at different points in their lives.
