Darren is an original character created for Legendary Guardian and has no basis in cannon from Square Soft in Final Fantasy X. He is mentioned, in passing, in only one chapter of LG.

Darren is a Guardian to the Summoner, Ikara. The two participate in a large scale battle in the Calm Lands under the command of Auron’s uncle, Youke. Both Darren and Ikara die during the prolonged fighting and their loss greatly upsets Youke – then Second of Bevelle. No description of Darren is given, but I pictured him as a nineteen-year-old Crusader with dark skin and green eyes. I envisioned he and Ikara as young lovers on the Journey together. Sadly, or perhaps fortunately, they never make it to Zanarkand.
