Wen Inek is an original character created for Legendary Guardian and has no basis in cannon from Square Soft in Final Fantasy X. He appears in many chapters of LG and is a strong influence in Auron's life.

A priest of Yevon, Inek is married to Sidoine and has two children - Wen Kinoc and Emerline. Auron becomes acquainted with Inek through his son. Tragic circumstances, and a debt of honor between Inek and Auron's uncle, Youke, lead to the priest taking a strong interest Auron's life and upbringing. Over time, both Inek and his wife come to love Auron as another son. Though they consider adopting him, they decide against it and instead do all they can to encourage a bond between Auron and their daughter.

Inek is a political man. His skills as a negotiator, his ability manipulate people, and his choice of wife all combined to help him rise in the ranks of the temple. When Maeda dies, Inek assumes the position of Lord High Priest of the temple of St. Bevelle. His natural tendency toward cruelty and ruthlessness are curbed only by the sweet natures of his wife and children. Very few who ever see the darker side of Wen Inek live to tell the tale.

A taller man, Inek is six foot four with a lean frame and dark sandy blond hair. When Auron is born, Inek is twenty-eight. He becomes Lord High Priest when he is forty-four. I had a vision of Peter O' Toole (pictures on the left) in my mind when writing him.
