Karen is an original character created for Legendary Guardian and has no basis in cannon from Square Soft in Final Fantasy X. She appears, or is mentioned, in several Chapters of LG, Braska's Journey, and Bonds of Love.

A nun in the service of the Church of Yevon, Karen is nurse/nanny to Yuna. Within the stories, we do not learn much about her, except in her interactions with Lord Braska and his daughter. I actually have quite a bit of back-story for Karen and how she came to be Yuna's nurse, but I have never found a need or appropriate place to tell the tale.

Karen is a longhaired brunette, standing about five foot four, with hazel eyes. She wears her hair with a center part and buns to the side of her head - in the manner of most female dedicates to Yevon within Final Fantasy X. Her dress is traditional garb of her station. She and Lord Braska have a congenial relationship that retains only mild formality. Karen is always aware that Braska is a priest but due to their close working relationship, and the fact that she lives with he and Yuna, they dispense with many of the traditional salutations and ritual gestures. I have always though of her as a bit of a rebel. She definitely admires Lord Braska, but there is never any hint of a deeper relationship. The two are joined only by their concern for Yuna and Braska has complete trust in her.

Being an intellectual, and a teacher, Karen is not trained in fighting. However, as a dedicated nun, she does possess some magical training. In cannon, the nun Shalinda is shown as having low level healing spells. I grant this as an ability to Karen.
