Oman is an original character created for Legendary Guardian and has no basis in cannon from Square Soft in Final Fantasy X. He appears, or is mentioned, in several chapters of LG.

As part of the teaching hierarchy at the temple of St. Bevelle, Oman is designated as "temple Alchemist." Specializing in the creation of potions and their use, he imparts basic knowledge to all temple dedicated and works closely with those who wish to specialize in Alchemy as they become older. Auron has lessons with Oman until he turns sixteen and then spends the majority of his time assisting the Master at Arms instead of doing normal classes and work rotations.

Physically, Oman is a about five foot eight with white/blond hair and blue eyes and is quite young for a member of the temple teaching staff. When Auron becomes a dedicated (at age twelve), Oman is only thirty-two. This speaks of his talent in his art. However, Oman is not a "healer" in the strict sense. His skills lie in his mastery of combining herbs and he does not use magic. He also prepares bodies for sending or burial.
