Youke is an original character created for Legendary Guardian. He has no basis in cannon and is also mentioned in Bonds of Love and Braska's Journey.

Youke is a central character to LG. He is Auron's maternal uncle. A large portion of early chapters is devoted to the development of the relationship between Auron and Youke as it has a far reaching and deep impact on Auron's life. Youke is, by far, the most important influence on Auron's personality and everything Auron does, he does to make his uncle proud. When in times of stress or joy, hope or sorrow, battle or peace; Auron will always think of Youke first. When his uncle leaves on Pilgrimage with the Summoner Umaro it is one of the saddest moments of his life.

I derive Auron's interesting and distinctive battle wear largely from Youke. While Auron picks up adornments and accoutrements from all areas of his life - the long red overcoat is inherited from a formal and somewhat out of date style of coat that his uncle used to wear. However, Youke is always mentioned as partial to wearing one that was green with yellow piping.

Youke is about six foot three, a bit more lean than Auron, and has the same raven hair and russet eyes. Shana often comments that Auron looks quite a lot like his uncle in spite of the fact that Youke was taller and kept his hair shorn very short. A skilled tactician and fighter, he uses two blades during battle - a tanto and katana - and is quite swift. I give him the benefit of a full compliment of break skills and special functions such as overdrives and taunts.
