RSS feeds, etc. · Oct 16, 11:27 PM by Amberlee
Work has been on hold this week—at least here at the site. Far too much going on otherwise. I spent today coughing, sniffing, and napping.
Thanks to all of you that have checked the new Texptattern page in different browsers. So far, the only one not checked is IE and I have that (sadly) on the PC at the office so I’ll know that it’s working on that by no later than Tuesday.
For now, I don’t have comments or RSS/Atom turned on. If you think you’d like RSS or comments please be sure to stop by the LJ or the old blog to put your input in the comments there. I’ll have two options for comments since I have the Holoscan account and now the DB here on my own site. Using the ones with TXP is a simple matter of adding a line of code. Going back to Holoscan means a little more work but I already have things blocked there and I hate to bother duplicating the IP blocking.
Yeah, I know, I’m lazy. That’s why it’s taken almost a year to get this TXP/new blog thing going.
Well, back to writing, laundry, and napping. Upadates as things progress.

Ongoing changes · Oct 13, 08:35 PM by Amberlee
Some work comparing the default CSS and HTML files from Textpattern to my default CSS and HTML files from other areas of my website has produced this new and improved look. It’s not exactly what I’m looking for (the background image is currently not loading) but it’s a definate improvement!
In a day or two I will post a link on my old blogsite to this new one. I will then have to archive the old blog entries or scrap them depending on how much trouble it will be to move them around.
As an aside, I quite like the interface for Textpattern. What I haven’t liked is the spike in hacker activity. Since we loaded Textpattern hackers have pounded my webserver. It’s not a huge problem—we don’t run MS and they are largely trying to use Enterprise exploits—but it certainly is annoying.
That’s about all for now. This update is brought to you by the need to see if all my articles will load in the new textbox frame!
Ja ne!

Ok folks. The move is on. Textpattern is up and running. This is only the start of huge changes to my site and I’m sure it will take a couple of months for me to figure out this thing and the CSS required to make it my new “home.”
More later.
